Monster Eggs are egg-shaped items, that glow in a variety of colors, from green, blue, red (yellow and violet in the final cutscene). It is assumed that more Demon-like creatures are inside these eggs. Before the events of the game, three mines (each containing one of three eggs) were discovered by Eugene's mining team. After defeating Charles, a larger cavern is revealed under the bridge that Charles was killed on, this cave containing possibly thousands or even millions of eggs.

Eugene and his mining team bore into three mines, each containing one of three eggs, which had their energy harvested by Warren. The Eggs had awoken Charles, who sought out the energy being released, and attacked the miners for the first time. Warren ordered the remaining three eggs to be hidden away in the mines, to be protected by the Goons.
In order to beat the game, the player must collect all three eggs and place them in the Prism, allowing the player to fight Charles to the death. Gathering the eggs isn't that easy, due to the aforementioned Goons, as well as the confusing, maze-like layout of the mines.
Locations of the Monster Eggs[]
The Green Monster Egg can be found in the south-east section of the island. It is the first egg that you will probably obtain, as you make your way through the game. This egg is hidden in the South Mine. To obtain the key to the South Mine, you will need to talk to Helen in the south-east part of the map. After talking to her, head to the location marked on the map and go through the mine and find the Green egg. Since this is the first egg, it is fairly easy to obtain. You simply need to avoid the Goons, as you walk through this mine and pick up the egg.
The Blue Monster Egg is in the northern most part of the map. It is the second egg that you will probably obtain, It is located in the North Mine. To obtain the key, you need to talk to Greg in the north-east part of the map. After talking to him, head to the location marked on the map. Unlike the first mine, this mine contains a few more Goons. The Blue Egg is locked behind a gate. the Player has to pull the lever next to the gate to open it and rush in to grab the Blue egg before the gate shuts.
The Red Monster Egg is found in the Central mine, also referred to as the Tomb. This mine is filled with Goons. Also, this mine is multiple levels deep. There are many Mine Shaft elevators that the player can ride to navigate in this Mine. After taking one of the elevators down, the player can grab the egg and continue through the mine, until they find the second elevator to take the player, back to the surface. With all of the eggs in the Player's inventory, they will have to find the Temple Key, then go open the Temple Gates and put the three eggs in the Prism.
The Yellow and Purple Monster Eggs were seen in the cave under the Bridge next to Paul, which is under the place where Charles died.
