Old Train Engine

A fully upgraded Train.

The Old Train Engine is a steam locomotive utilized by the Player to travel around Aranearum, as well as acting as safe place to hide and fend off Charles and Warren's Goons. Eugene states that the previous operator of the locomotive was killed by Charles early on, and that the locomotive had sat in the train station for a while until Eugene convinced the player to come to Aranearum Island.

Appearance

The Old Train Engine is a steam powered locomotive, resembling a 20th century train. It is yellow by default, although the color can be changed by obtaining paint cans. Many common locomotive accessories are present, including a bright headlamp on the smoke box door, and a metal cowcatcher. Different accessories are added as the train is upgraded, such as horns on the smoke box.

In the front of the cab, the player can control the train by pulling the either the throttle (forward), the Johnson Bar (reverse), or the train brakes. There is a whistle lever located in the top left, which activates the whistle when pulled.

The back half of the cab has a Blueprints on a wooden table, which is used to upgrade the train's speed, armor, and weapon damage. The right side of the cab contains a shelf that stores all the paint cans, and above are the blueprints for the different obtainable weapons.

Trivia

• If the train is at 0% health, the train is slower and Charles will damage you instead of the train.
• The steam whistle is purely cosmetic and does not affect gameplay.
• With 0 buffs to speed, the train moves at 35 kph; with max speed upgrades it runs at 52 kph.
